Telecom operators in Tajikistan: Tcell, MegaFon, ZET-MOBILE and others
Mobile operators, internet providers and broadcasters in Tajikistan: what services their websites describe and what to check when choosing a plan or a connection.
When choosing a mobile operator or a home internet provider, the easiest way to compare plans, coverage and extra services is on the companies' official websites. That is also where you usually find the customer account, promotions and connection request forms. This overview covers the websites of mobile operators, internet providers and other telecom companies in Tajikistan, grouped by the services they offer.
Mobile operators
Tcell lists tariffs, mobile internet, roaming, services for private and business customers, the Barakat loyalty programme and a coverage map on its website, along with promotions, news and vacancies.
MegaFon Tajikistan presents itself as a mobile and digital services operator. Besides tariffs and roaming, its site covers mobile and home internet, eSIM, financial services and the Life app, and includes offers for business.
Babilon-Mobile explains its technologies in detail: 4G, VoLTE, VoWiFi and 5G. The site also has tariffs and services, roaming, a coverage map, offers for corporate clients and company news.
ZET-MOBILE is the brand of the operator Takom LLC, working in the GSM, UMTS and LTE standards. Its site collects tariffs and mobile internet packages, roaming, business services, promotions and news, and has a personal account for subscribers.
O Mobile is another mobile operator. Its official website lists tariffs, options and phone numbers, payment and support information, news and a store map.
Tcell, MegaFon, Babilon-Mobile and ZET-MOBILE have sections for business, so companies choosing a corporate plan should compare those sections directly.
Home internet, telephony and TV
Tojiktelecom is the national telecommunications operator of Tajikistan. Its site brings together plans for home internet, telephony and digital TV, services for businesses and other operators, promotions and a login to the personal account.
TTL is an internet provider with a similar set of home services: home internet, TTL-TV television and IP telephony. It also offers business solutions, a subscriber account, news, promotions and a connection request form.
INTERCOM offers FWA wireless internet over 4G LTE/5G for apartments, private houses and organizations. The site presents its plans, equipment, promotions and a knowledge base, which is useful if you want to understand in advance how this kind of connection works.
TTT (Trans Telematic Technologies) is an internet and TV provider. Its site lists internet and IPTV plans, additional services, a connection availability check, news and a subscriber account.
Babilon-T is a telecommunications operator providing internet, television and business solutions.
If you are connecting an apartment or a private house, first decide which type of connection suits you, then compare plans and equipment. Providers often bundle internet with TV and telephony, so it is sometimes more convenient to choose a package than to connect each service separately.
Business communications and broadcasting
Eastera is an internet service provider in Dushanbe focused on business, with services that include a virtual PBX and Eastera Connect. Its site shows a portfolio, the team, partners and client reviews.
NETS is an internet provider and system integrator supplying telecommunication systems and solutions for private customers and businesses.
Payom is an SMS communication service for businesses: the platform sends OTP codes, notifications and bulk messages to numbers of all national operators via a dashboard and API. It is useful for online stores and apps that need to verify customers' phone numbers.
Also worth mentioning is Teleradiocom, an open joint-stock company working in television and radio broadcasting in Tajikistan. Its website publishes company news and information on its services, digital broadcasting, information technology and partners.
SMS messaging and notifications
OsonSMS is an SMS messaging service for Tajikistan, based in Khujand. Companies use it for promotional campaigns, service SMS notifications and automatic birthday greetings to customers. Messages arrive under the company name as the sender; a campaign can be scheduled for the right time, and delivery statistics are shown in the web account. The service replaces links in messages with short osms.tj addresses and shows who followed them and when. Developers get an API and ready modules for 1C, 1C-Bitrix, WordPress, OpenCart, CS-Cart, Laravel and popular CRMs; prices start at 0.05 somoni per SMS, depending on volume.
Mail TJ is the national e-mail service of Tajikistan: a free, secure mailbox with an @mailtj.info address for personal and work mail.
How to choose an operator or provider
- Coverage. Before buying a SIM card, check the coverage map — Tcell and Babilon-Mobile have one on their sites.
- Connection type. At home you can choose home internet from a provider or wireless FWA access, as offered by INTERCOM. TTT's site has a connection availability check.
- Bundle of services. If you need internet, TV and telephony together, compare the offers of Tojiktelecom and TTL; TTT and Babilon-T also offer internet together with TV.
- Travel. Roaming and eSIM matter when travelling: roaming is described on the sites of Tcell, MegaFon, Babilon-Mobile and ZET-MOBILE, and eSIM on MegaFon's site.
- Self-service. A personal account and a knowledge base help you solve some issues without contacting support.
- Business needs. Besides corporate plans, companies may need a virtual PBX or IP telephony — Eastera and TTL describe such services, and Payom handles SMS mailings and OTP codes.
- Messages to customers. For SMS notifications and campaigns with your company name as the sender, OsonSMS fits; before you start, check the price for your volume and whether there is a module for your CMS or CRM.
Plans and promotions change, so check the terms on the company's official website before connecting. All websites in this category are in the catalog at catalog.tj.
