FaceID: face-based time tracking — and why it beats global systems and biometric terminals
FaceID is a Tajik face-based time-tracking system from the «Business, finance & law» section: a shift opens the moment a face is recognised, lateness and overtime are counted automatically, and attendance flows into iiko and 1C. We break down how it works and compare it with a regional peer, TimePay (Uzbekistan), with global SaaS (Jibble, Truein) and biometric terminals (ZKTeco, Hikvision).
In most companies time tracking still rests on paper timesheets filled in from memory at month-end, or on turnstile terminals that log the fact of entry but know nothing about an employee's schedule. FaceID from the «Business, finance & law» section takes a different approach: a shift opens the second the terminal recognises a face, and lateness, breaks and overtime are counted automatically against each person's own schedule.
How FaceID works
The system runs by a specific person's schedule rather than a blanket rule: a cook starts at 8:00, security works a day on, three off, and lateness is counted individually for each.
- Face recognition in under a second. The terminal at the entrance opens the shift and the manager sees the arrival the same second. It works with Hikvision terminals you already have.
- Lateness and overtime flow straight into payroll. Forty minutes over the schedule go into pay rather than getting lost; lunch is logged separately and doesn't eat into paid time.
- Explanations in Telegram. The employee explains a deviation right in the bot, and the manager accepts or rejects it.
- Payroll by actuals. Rate, penalties and bonuses are calculated on time actually worked.
- Analytics and reports. Discipline by department, export to Excel and PDF, an e-mail in the morning.
- Mobile app and geotracking. Clock-in with camera and location where a terminal can't go; a live map of field staff.
- Kiosk and self-check-in. A tablet at the entrance while hardware is still on the way.
A closed shift flows automatically into iiko and 1C — accounting enters nothing by hand. Each client gets a separate database and its own domain: employee data isn't mixed with anyone else's and never leaves your copy.
How FaceID differs from peers, global systems and terminals
There are several kinds of solution on the face-based time-tracking market, and it's important not to confuse them.
The closest regional peer is Uzbekistan's TimePay (chosen by 800+ companies): also Face ID attendance with geozones, payroll and task management (Kanban), integrating Bitrix24, 1C and SAP. But it's a service for the Uzbek market: its interface and billing are in soʻm, with no iiko integration, no local channels like OsonSMS, and data lives in its shared cloud. FaceID solves the same jobs for Tajikistan — somoni and invoicing for companies, work with Hikvision terminals you already have, explanations in Telegram, and a separate database with its own domain per client.
Global SaaS — Jibble (free recognition with a 3D face scan) and Truein (AI recognition with geofencing and dozens of policies) — are convenient, but they are cloud services in English, billed in foreign currency and with no integration with iiko, 1C or local channels. Data lives in their shared cloud abroad.
Biometric terminals — ZKTeco (for example the BioTime line) and Hikvision — log entries reliably, but they're tied to the vendor's own hardware and barely count schedules, overtime or payroll on their own: it's a "turnstile with a face", not a workforce-time management system.
FaceID takes the strengths of all of them and adds what the others lack for Tajik business: ready-made integration with iiko and 1C, explanations in Telegram, pricing in Tajik somoni and deployment in a single working day — with employee migration included.

Who it's for
FaceID is built for local business: cafés, car washes, shops and offices (the «Start» plan with no integrations), restaurants with iiko or 1C (the «Business» plan), and chains of 10+ locations with their own server and an SLA (the corporate plan). The payoff is greatest where schedules are complex — night shifts, rotating security, field crews — and where it matters that employee data physically stays inside your copy of the system.
You can review the plans and request a demo on your own schedule at the FaceID website. Other services for business are gathered in the «Business, finance & law» section of the catalog.tj directory.
